What interests you about swordfighting?
I'm intrested in all forms of swordfighting (chinese, japanese, english, african, arab, etc.) to better my own style of swordfighting and to be more a "jack of all trades, a master of none." I'm also intrested not in kata but in applied swordfighting (the Krav Maga of swordfighting if you will) because I believe the basics of every fighting art are all more effictive instead of the complex compitition moves.

Please describe if you have any experience with other forms or styles of swordfighting.
I've studied western swordfighting (fencing) under AFAD (American Fencing Accociation of Dayton) and was primarily a foilist, and I've faught a little with a sabre while I was with AFAD. I studied a little kenjutsu a few months back, however because of high membership rates in my area my introduction to kenjutsu and iado have been from books and videos. Me and my best friend have been developing our own swordfighting style for about two years now, based on the swordfighting styles we've learned in our personal training.
