What interests you about swordfighting?
I am 17 years old, I live in a small town called Lumberton, Tx. I really enjoy practicing my swordsmanship, Although I've never been taught by a professional. I've learned from practice videos and somethings I teach myself out in the front yard. I wish I had more friends who were interested in learning swordsmanship, but noone where I lives seems to have such an interest. The complete make up that is Swordfighting. The thought of two Samurai stareing eachother down and looking at the face of the person who could possible be the last person they see, that is so cool to think about. All the different techniques, moves, and sword motions you use to make your Mind, Body, And Soul become one with your sword. All these things are what makes me want to better my swordsmanship and knowing that theres always someone out there who's better than me, makes my Soul burn hot and urge me to put a sharper edge on my Skills.

Please describe if you have any experience with other forms or styles of swordfighting.
Currently, I have no Training or experience other than the Basics I learn from watching training videos online and some practicing of my own in my front yard. I live close to nowhere, So its hard to find a Dojo where I can learn the style of fighting i'm intersted in.

One of our old katanas was pretty crooked; it was tiny and wasn't really made for cutting. The new one is much better. Are you going to be doing some tameshigiri with your katana or is it just for practicing with? =)
