This is the Gladiator Kempo gloves with lace ups. Retail $60, on Best Buy Martial Arts for $40.

It has "broken knuckle" design which is easier to move the fingers around but also in our case opens a tiny area which is unpadded. I'm not sure if it matters but flexibility looks great. Also, it doesn't seem to have padding at the wrist which is also important.
