I want to say the PVC was about an inch thick. To give you an idea it's the same thickness that would be used if one were constructing a goshinken. It cut through both and went through without a hitch but the cut PVC wasn't exactly pretty. It had a half cut half broken kind of look to it where the sword met it, as if it went through about 3/4 of the way and just broke the remaining PVC.

yeah, it was too easy actually, which I realized after the first cut. After that the strength of the rind holding the outside together just drops, so its even easier to cut.

Did you cut through the PVC pipe too? how big was it.

They be stealin' my idea! Still pretty fun isn't it? I rigged one up last week with a PVC spine at my house and did some nukitsuke's on it. I thought the hard exterior and the PVC would offer a pretty good resistance but it cut through both with ease. It looks like it was just as easy to slice through for you as well.
